Yesterday experience led me to reconsider some rules I forced myself to follow for the series “Quickly Done”, whose goal is to continue to exercise when I am too busy or when my brain isn’t available to devote myself fully to more elaborate works.
Until yesterday, the rule was: half an hour to think of an idea and realize it summarily. But given the time, it became difficult for me to have every time a new idea and the time to do something almost good. The risk was therefore of always drawing the same kind of stuff.
So, the rule has changed somewhat: unless I have a real flash, I use the Wikipedia “random article” functionality and leaves it 10 lucks for finding an interesting topic. From there, I work to best reproduce an image found on the web referring to the topic.
Today, the topic was frogs.
